Valentine's Day this year was so fun. My husband started the weekend off right by bringing home these beautiful roses for me on Friday when he came home from work. He put them in the garage and then he asked me to make sure he turned off the light in the garage. I opened the door and quickly looked (not seeing the flowers) and I was like....yes, the light is off. Then he asked me to really look again and then I saw them. What a fun surprise! Having flowers on my table makes me so happy. I feel like they make the house look so much better!
Sunday, my mom came over and spent Valentine's evening with Judah while Jeremiah and I went out on a date. We went to Il Granaio in Mount Vernon. It is an amazing Italian restaurant in the granary. They hand make the pasta right there and everything was so delicious. The atmosphere is really romantic and the food and service were really great. I had a seafood fettuccini and Jeremiah had the King Crab Ravioli. Yummy!
Going out on dates with my husband is so important. It makes me feel so much closer to him and helps us to just focus on our marriage. We are going to try to go on a date once a month, even if we just go to the beach and hangout together. It's just so important to spend that quality time together!
