This morning, I sat down to have a quick little quiet time with my Bible. I opened to Proverbs and two verses jumped out at me. I had to write them down on a 3X5 card and I plan on keeping this card with me today. I wanted to share them here also.
Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
The wise in heart will be called prudent, And sweetness of the lips increases learning.
Definition of PRUDENT: Exercising sound judgement in practical matters.
Partial definition of SWEETNESS: Gratifying, friendly, kind.
I struggle to be a person with kind words so these verses really spoke to me. It says that "sweetness of the lips increases learning". To me, that means if I have gratifying, friendly and kind words, it will increase my learning, Judah's learning, my husband's learning.
"The wise in heart will be called prudent." Who couldn't use more sound judgement in practical matters?
