Date Night

This evening, my mom came over and spent some quality time with Judah while Jeremiah and I went out for a date. Lately, I've been trying to give her a few opportunities to take care of him through dinner time and put him to bed. She'll be with him when I go into labor and we go have the baby. I'm hoping this "practice" time will help them do better when we're gone and it's also nice to go out as a couple!

First we headed off to Target and added a few items to our baby registry. I was amazed at all the cute baby girl clothes they have out right now. We actually bought a really cute little onesie, we just couldn't resist. Then we headed to a yummy Italian restaurant. They serve family style so, you basically order just one entree and an appetizer if you'd like to.

We had the most amazing stuffed mushrooms for a starter. They were perfect. I'm glad I can't make something like that at home, I'd be in trouble. For our main dish, we decided on Spicy Chicken Rigatoni. It was spicy and delicious. I'm really thankful that I'm not one of those pregnant women that gets heartburn. I've actually never had heartburn and I'm so thankful for that!

In pregnancy news, today I'm 34 weeks. I'm starting to get that "big" feeling but, I'm still comfortable for the most part. Baby is very active starting around 9:00pm and she doesn't settle down until about 11pm or whenever I can ignore it enough to fall asleep. So, we probably won't be doing much sleeping at that time of night for a little while after she's born.

I'm so excited that it's September. That means, it's almost baby time! On the way home from church today, we were talking about it with Judah. I was telling him that our baby will be at our house soon. For the rest of the day, he's been walking around saying... "Baby, Soon!"

  1. Daniel was a full three weeks early and Mercy was two. Wouldn't early be fun?!
