Lazy Labor Day

Yesterday was Labor Day and it was a pretty lazy day for us. My husband got up with Judah and let me sleep in. I actually didn't wake up until 9:45am. You'd think this would be a good thing but, when I got up, I was grouchy from being so hungry and I felt like so much of my day was already gone. I pretty much accomplished nothing all morning and then went to get my hair done in the afternoon.

I left the house in a pretty grumpy mood. I felt like the day was wasting away and things that I planned on doing, weren't going to get done. It all turned around though when I sat in the chair and talked with the sweet girl cutting my hair. I felt like we had so much in common and it was so fun to sit and talk with her.

When I got home, Jeremiah made crab cakes for dinner with crab that he and his uncle got. It was his first time making crab cakes but, they turned out awesome. While he was cooking, Judah and I played on the piano. I love that we have my Grandma's piano and that Judah gets to play on it. I feel like it would make my Grandma so happy to see him sitting there, banging on the keys.

  1. I can unfortunately relate to the waking up crabby. When there is a special day off and Eric is home my hopes for the day's accomplishments is always much higher than what could be reasonably achieved. Sleep, though wonderful and desired eats away at the day.

Fun pictures of J playing the piano!

Thank you for your comments. I read every single one of them and they always make me smile.
