Yesterday was not our average Sunday. We headed to Moses Lake for the day to celebrate my Grandma Joann's 80th Birthday party. We woke up early, packed up the car, woke Judah and Paisley and pulled out of the driveway at 7:20. We drove all the way there with only one stop and it took us 4 1/2 hours. It was actually a really beautiful drive and I was so impressed and thankful with how well Judah and Paisley did. They were fabulous travelers and I was so proud of them!
When we found out about my Grandma's party, we had to toss the idea of going around for awhile. It didn't sound like fun to drive 9 hours in a day with a 2 year old and 5 month old. I knew Judah would do well but, I was worried about Paisley. 9 hours is a long time for a baby to be in the car. We finally decided that we would go and I'm so glad we did. It meant so much to my Grandma. She hadn't met Paisley yet and she'd only been around Judah twice. I could just see how much she loves them and how special it was to her that we came to her Birthday party.
On the way back we made 2 stops to stretch Judah's legs and for me to feed Paisley. They were both pretty tired from the busy day but, hardly any tears were shed. My aunt and uncle rented a bouncy house for the kids at the party and Judah had spent the afternoon bouncing away without a nap. I was amazed that he didn't fall asleep in the car on the way home. It was his first day ever without taking a nap.
Today we just stayed home, watched some movies, I did some laundry and some chores. The inspection for our house is scheduled for later this week so, that's exciting and I hope it goes well.
Tonight I'm up late baking pizza for MOPS tomorrow. I could've gone the easy route and bought Papa Murphy's but, I decided to go the old fashioned way and knead and let rise.
Time to go roll out some more dough.....
