Signed Papers & Embracing Chaos

The last 3 years have been filled with major life events for us. First we got married, then we had a boy, then we had a girl. Tonight we signed papers on our first home. Life is busy but, full of blessings! It's so funny because about 5 years ago, I went through a really restless phase of feeling like life had been the same for so long and I wanted things to start changing. Jeremiah and I had been dating for about 5 years and I just wanted to get a move on with our life! Well, things started changing and major stuff has been happening like crazy over the last few years. Since 2008, we've either gotten married, had a baby or bought a house, every single year.

All these things are super wonderful but, I have to admit that I have a hard time embracing chaos. We have a bunch of work to do at the new house before we move in and we have this whole house to pack and move. It's so exciting but, it also overwhelms me. Daily life with Judah and Paisley is busy enough and now we are throwing in a ton of house projects, packing and moving.

The rest of this month is going to be crazy busy but, it's all good stuff. It's time for me to embrace the chaos and be ok with boxes in my living room, paper plates and drives to Home Depot. Tonight I have a grateful heart and I'm thinking about how God doesn't want us to get overwhelmed with the things that He blesses us with.

  2. Congratulations!
There will be a lot of satisfaction that comes from moving from the chaos of these moments to the settled feelings that will come as you create order in your new place. I am so excited for you and a lot envious too! It's a great time!
