I'm loving it---Hummus!

We've been on a bit of a hummus kick lately around our house. Judah loves it and it's super healthy and yummy so, I decided that I should try making it instead of buying it. We can go through a tub of hummus pretty quickly around here so, having a good recipe is something I needed. I did some searching around for a good recipe and here's what I tried this evening:

•2 tablespoons minced garlic

•2 (19 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, with the liquid from one only one can

•Juice from 2 limes

•4 tablespoons tahini

•1 teaspoon salt

•black pepper to taste

•Red pepper flakes to taste

Mix everything up in a blender and chill. We dip crackers or vegetables in ours.

  5. When our son was a toddler we used to tell that hummus was peanut butter! He eat it right up!
