Applesauce and Sally holding both babies

Today started with a couple big cups of coffee because I was out way too late last night visiting with some ladies from my MOPS group. The lady who coordinated MOPS last year was kind enough to let us hangout in her home for the evening and it was so much fun to visit with everyone. I continually feel so blessed to have so many amazing women in my life. I love that I know Moms who are at all different stages of life. It gives me lots of ladies to talk to about mothering and I love that.

Sally and her boys came over this morning and hung out with us while I made applesauce. My Dad recently brought me a big box of apples that he picked and since they aren't very good for eating, I thought I'd turn them into applesauce. I have a Pampered Chef apple-peeler-corer-slicer thing and it worked great on most of the apples. If the apple was too soft, it didn't work well but, for the most part, it saved me a ton of time.
I let the apples simmer on low with a little added water, a good amount of cinnamon and a little sugar for a few hours. I didn't want to add any sugar but, with this type of apple, I had no choice. They are sour! When I made applesauce two years ago, it didn't need any added sugar at all. I was hoping these apples would work the same way but, there was no way. Sugar had to be added.

While Judah and Paisley napped, I canned the jars. I love how they look. The color is so pretty!
While Sally was here, she was holding both Levi and Paisley and I had to take a picture of them.
 How cute are they?

Judah and Paisley both took super short naps today and I had a feeling it was going to be a long afternoon so, we had an impromptu play date at the playground with some friends. I'm so glad we went there. It made the rest of the day goes so much more smoothly.

Tonight I'm going to make myself go to be early. I'm not feeling that well and I'm not sure if it's because I'm tired or if I'm getting what Paisley had. It better only be from being tired. Moms aren't aloud to get sick. :)
