Change of plans and my laundry song

Last night I stayed up late and got our grocery list, Fred Meyer trip and coupons all planned out. Today was going to be a day of grocery shopping and getting things done. Well, the day started off well. I got up before Judah and Paisley, got my shower and took care of a few things around the house. When Paisley woke up, I nursed her and then she threw up the entire amount all over me, the rocking chair, the boppy and herself. I didn't even know she ate that much! I figured she must have nursed too quickly and maybe it didn't sit well on an empty stomach.

We all had breakfast and then got ready to load into the car to go. We went down and I saw that Judah's carseat was still in Jeremiah's truck from the weekend. Ugh. I hate changing out carseats, especially when I need to keep track on my kids while I do it. I got the carseat moved back into my car, looked over at Paisley and watched as she threw up her entire breakfast all over herself, her carseat, he favorite blanket and her toys. Lovely. It looks like we aren't going to Fred Meyer after all. I stuck Judah out in the backyard with Rosie to play while I got Paisley cleaned up. While I was getting her changed and scrubbing the carseat, I went to check on him and he announced "Mommy, I pooped!" Ok, thanks for letting me know! Maybe you can let me know next time before you go. In all seriousness, I was too busy to ask him if he needed to go so, I can't blame anything on him.

I started cleaning Judah up and gave Paisley a little water and apple juice in her highchair to get her hydrated after all the throwing up. Oh, did I mention that she threw up for a third time while I was cleaning up her carseat? Anyway, while I was cleaning Judah and she was having her drink, she threw her drink up. At this point the morning was almost gone and she hadn't kept anything down so, I gave her Doctor a call and he said to come on in.

I am so thankful to have an awesome Pediatrician and live less than 5 minutes away. What an absolute blessing it is! We went in and he gave me tips on how to keep her hydrated until this stomach virus passes. Last time we were at the Doctor, it was for Judah and he was terrified. Today he did great and it made me so happy. I was nervous that he was going to cry and freak out while the Doctor examined Paisley. Judah brought a few of his trucks in so, it was a great conversation starter.

Afterwards, we went to Haggen and Judah got a cookie for being such a big helper to me. I bought the stuff to make Cami's chili for dinner  and we also bought some Pedialyte for Paisley. The rest of this day is going to be spent laying low and getting caught up on laundry. It's amazing how much laundry a sick child can create. I was thinking about it and here's the song I came up with. It's sung to the tune of "You're the One that I want" from Grease. Please sing and not laugh.

I've got laundry, it's multiplying
and it sits on my bed.
The dryers dry'n, the washers wash'n
It's a never stopp'n.

You better fold up
You better put away
I'm getting tired of looking at you

You better fold up
You better put away
I've got better things to do

You're the laundry
Oh Oh Ohhhh
You're the laundry
Oh Oh Ohhhh
At least you're clean and smell'n goooood

Maybe I'll share the other verses of the laundry song a different time. For now, I really do have things to do.
