Day at Home and Judah's Haircut

Today has been one of those days where we've actually gotten more done that I thought we would. If you're a mommy of young children, you know that's unusual (at least it is at my house). We haven't done anything super exciting but, it's been a really good day at home. After breakfast, I gave Judah a much needed haircut. I've been putting it off for awhile because I just love his long, red curls but, yesterday the nice cashier in Fred Meyer told Judah that his hair was getting long. He told me he needed a haircut and I knew it was time. Although he's had a few haircuts, I still get sentimental when I'm chopping off his sweet baby hair.

When I asked him to smile for the "before" pictures, this is the face I got......You've got to love two year olds. This is his "smile for the camera" face.
Bye, bye curls.
 Hello, short hair!
Seriously, he looks like he's so stink'n old now. What, are you like five???
We've been cleaning and playing. Now I need to get dinner going while they're napping. I think I'm going to check out the Crock Pot Girls website to find something easy to stick in the crock pot, with ingredients that we already have.

We haven't done our Random Act of Kindness for today yet. Any ideas on what we should do???? I'm thinking I might call my Grandma that lives 4 hours away and say "hi" but, I'd really love to hear any ideas that you might have.

  3. LOVE the hair cut! Judah is gorgeous :) If it gets too late to call your Grandma...throw some change out on the sidewalk and watch the neighbor kids smile!:)

  4. Love the curls but that's awesome that you're able to do his haircuts yourself! I'm pretty sure I'll never be brave enough to try that on my kids!

The Random Act of Kindness for the day sounds like a nice idea. I don't have any suggestions off hand though.
