Family Trip to the Pumpkin Patch and Town Halloween Party

I feel like we packed more fun things into today, than we normally pack into, say, a month of weekends. We started the day with a family trip to the pumpkin patch.

After the pumpkin patch, we decided to go to Costco, just for fun. We had no list, no agenda. We just wanted to walk around, look at Christmas stuff and have fun. We passed a park on the way to Costco and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the fall trees were, reflecting in the water. I asked Jeremiah to pull in so, I could take a few pictures.

While I was snapping away, Judah and Daddy spotted a few ducks. They gathered some fishy crackers that we had in the van, got out and Judah got to feed ducks for the first time.

 Apparently ducks like fish crackers.
I love this picture. Happy and tired boy from the pumpkin patch, taking a drink with a balloon in hand and the ducks in the background.
We wondered around Costco and our kids ate sample after sample. I swear it was the most samples I've ever seen at Costco. We didn't even need to feed them lunch when we got home so, we went straight to nap time.
After naps, we quickly changed them into their outfits for the Halloween party that our town puts on every year. We live in a pretty small town but, they close down the main street and throw a fantastic Halloween party. It was our first year going and it was super fun.
Paisley was a ballerina......I loved it.

Judah, the Train Conductor.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Cookie Monster, Elmo and Tiger were there. Judah loved all of them and he walked right up and hugged them. I was so proud of how brave he was!

Paisley was YELLING "HI!!!" to all of them. She doesn't even know who they are but, she totally loved them and she wanted their attention!

The fire department was there and they let the kids sit in the firetrucks. Judah loved it.

 Pony ride!
Judah and I participated in the cake walk. We danced around while we walked and ended up winning a cupcake.

After the town party, we all went to dinner. After dinner we came home and Judah piled all the pillows he could find onto the couch and lied down on them. I think we'll all sleep well tonight. It's been a very fun and full day!

  1. Honestly I had no idea that the Halloween thing was that big here. We've never gone. Next year... we totally have to go. It would so be worth costumes for the kids (we never make a big deal about Halloween). Looks like you had so much fun.

I, too, love the balloon photo. Perfect picture!

We were at the same pumpkin patch as you today... only it was just Gracie and no pictures (didn't have my camera). LOVED your photos!!
