Paisley's Pink and Orange Pumpkin Party

Our baby, Paisley turned one yesterday. We had a super fun day celebrating her Birthday with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
A few days ago, Judah and Daddy went shopping so, Judah could pick out a present for her. They wrapped it together and Judah got to give it to her when she woke up on her Birthday.

Later in the day, I changed her into her special party clothes. It was her first time wearing a tutu and it was beyond precious.

For decorations, we had pink and orange balloons everywhere. The chalk board had a "Happy Birthday" note on it for her and various paper pumpkins were all over. I forgot to take many pictures of the decorations.

Of course, her cupcakes were pink and orange.
I had a total blast decorating these cupcakes. I was sad when the last one was decorated!

 The menu was:
Homemade Macaroni and Cheese
Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin Candies
Pumpkin Cheesecake Bites
Baby Carrots and Orange Bell Peppers with Ranch
Fish Crackers
Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Graham Crackers for dipping

 I love my Birthday girl!

Auntie Sally showed her a cupcake and let her sneak a swipe of frosting before dinner. I suppose that's what fun Aunties are supposed to do.
Paisley loved her dinner. After dinner, we sang "Happy Birthday" and then we let her go crazy with her cupcake. I don't think she realized it was food for awhile. She just played with it at first and then she started eating it.

All the kids ate a lot of sugar so, we headed outside to let them burn some energy off. Paisley played in the wood chips with her party clothes on. She wanted to be down so bad and I figured it wouldn't hurt anything.

Our family was so sweet. They all brought some of the neatest things for her Birthday, including her first baby doll. She loves her baby and I love seeing her with it. It's just precious and it makes my heart happy.
For favors, we sent everyone home with a caramel apple. Some were covered with Butterfinger (to match the orange theme) and others were covered with Oreo, just because that's delicious.
The kids got to take a decorated pumpkin home with them.
Last night, after everyone left, I tidied the house up a little and thought about how much we have to be thankful for. We are so blessed with an awesome and supportive family and healthy kids. It's bitter sweet to see Paisley getting older but, I'm in awe of how she is changing everyday. She's learning new words, standing for longer periods of time without holding onto something and becoming more of a big girl. Being a mommy is by far the most challenging thing I've ever done but, I sure do love it!
Happy Birthday Paisley! You are such a blessing!
