Random Acts of Kindness-Buying Coffee

Today has been challenging to say the least. Paisley had a temp over 103 tonight and Jeremiah has worked two super long days in a row so, I've done all the parenting, including bedtimes on my own. I feel for the single moms out there and I feel bad even complaining because I know so many people have it so much worse than I do.

We really needed groceries and we had cabin fever so, we went shopping today after nap time. My favorite espresso stand has double stamp Tuesday's so, if I'm going to splurge and buy coffee, I try to save my splurge for a Tuesday. I know buying a coffee for the person in line behind us isn't a very "original" idea but, that's what we did today and it was SO fun. I've had my coffee bought for me a couple times and each time someone blessed me like that, it totally made my day.

It was so exciting to wonder who would be behind us and I explained to Judah that we were going to buy their coffee and make them happy. I'm not sure if he really understood but, he seemed excited about it. When we first pulled in, no one was behind us and I started to wonder if I should just leave a couple dollars for the next person. That seemed a little weird and I was happy when I saw a lady, in an SUV with a car seat in the back, pull in behind us. Hooray, a tired Mom! Hopefully she enjoyed her coffee.
