Trick or Treat!!

Growing up, I never went trick or treating. I think we celebrated Halloween at church with a Harvest party. During high school, I dressed up once with a friend and went trick or treating, since I'd never done it before. Although it wasn't a tradition for us when I was a kid, I'm totally fine with taking the kids out for some fun. We don't do icky or scary but, dressing up in a fun costume can be a blast. Tonight Judah wanted to be Bob the Builder and Paisley was the Ballerina.
Can he fix it??? YES! He can!!

The neighborhood across the street from our house was filled with kids running from house to house getting candy. It was definitely the place to be for easy candy.
Cousin Noah was a superhero. His mommy, Sally made his costume. Didn't she do an awesome job?
Sally and Super Baby, Levi!

Paisley was happy to ride along in the stroller.

The babies did great but, they were both ready for bed by the time we were done.
"Bob" had to sit and look through all of his goodies. I think he got more candy tonight than he's ever had in his life. All this candy needs a special place to go so, it will last and he can have a piece here and there for a special treat.
It's our first Halloween since we bought this house. We thought we'd get lots of trick or treaters here so, we bought tons of candy. How wrong we were! I think we only had 5 or 6 people come by. We have so much candy left over and I'm not sure what to do with it. I think I'm going to look into making some holiday treats with it that I can freeze and bring out later or give away. If I find any good recipes that use left over candy, I'll post them.

Watching Judah run from house to house tonight made me even more aware of what a big boy he's becoming. How fun it is to be a mommy and get to enjoy fun days with my kids.
