Create Beauty

For awhile now, we've had the "Keep Calm and Carry On" quote framed in our living room. My husband didn't really care for it and honestly, I guess I didn't love it either. I don't know what took me so long to change it out. Mind over matter, I guess.

So, a  few weeks ago, I saw a quote here on Pinterest, and thought it was really inspiring. I decided to try and find a printable for the quote and hopefully, replace the "Keep Calm" with it. I ended up not being able to find a printable so, I made up my own and changed the wording up a bit, to make it more personal for our family.

Here is the original picture that was pinned. (Source)
And....here is our new framed quote.
I used burlap to frame the quote. Next, I sewed a simple burlap flower and hot glued it to the frame. Really, it was very easy (and fun!).
If you want to know how...just say so and I'll holler right back at 'cha.
If you'd like to have a copy of our printable, you can download it here.
So, do you have things in your home that you've been wanting to change? I feel like I have a never ending mental list so, I'm constantly reminding myself that these projects can be done one at a time and that they need to be fun and not stressful.

  3. Question: Is the burlap under the glass or how is it attached to the frame? I love that look!

    1. The burlap is under the glass. It's wrapped around the cardboard that would normally be framing the picture and then it's taped on the back. Hope that makes sense. :)
