First Braids

First braids. They're a milestone for a little girl, aren't they?
She munched on crackers as my fingers quickly worked through her hair.
I tried to contain my excitement but, I'm pretty sure I was giggling.
Yep, I'm in love.

  1. I don't have girls, but yes, I would be giddy too! How long did they stay? Did she pull them out or love them as much as you?

    1. Hi Darci! She left them in until I took them out at bedtime. So fun. :)

  6. I always love the first braid moment! We cut off maia's reverse mullet, but I bet we could still get some braids out of her little bob! :)

  7. I'm jealous that she kept them in. After months of begging I finally got my daughter to sit still for long enough to put some in. They lasted less than 3 minutes. Guess we'll try again in a few more months.

BTW, I found your site from UBP 12!

  8. I have a picture of our girls' first braids too. I love your pics and blogging. You and another friend recently have re-inspired me to write too. Since I'm already at the computer a lot, anyway!! :) Peace, Anna R.
