It's going to be a Good Week!

{Just one of the goodies that the kids and I picked up at our favorite store last week. I love this coffee}

Last night an overwhelmed feeling washed over me. You know when you feel like a deer staring into the headlights? I felt that way for a few minutes when I looked at our calendar. We've got a lot going on this week and sometimes that leaves me feeling totally daunted.

Instead of standing there and silently freaking out, I sat down, wrote out our week and instantly I felt better.
I made some goals for this week and I thought I'd share a few of them.

Go to bed earlier, every night. My hubby and I have gotten into the bad habit of going to bed too late and I've noticed that I can function well on 6 hours of sleep but, I really need 8 to not feel like my brain is foggy. Last night I was asleep before 11pm-much better!
Workout every morning. Alright, so I already messed that one up. I barely even remember turning my alarm off this morning and laying back down. Here's to hoping that tomorrow will be better!
Continue to turn the computer off and then check in and blog, in the times that I've designated for myself.
Make a daily chore chart for Judah. At 3, he doesn't have many "chores" but, I want to make a fun list for him of things that we do everyday. For example:
Morning: Change into daytime clothes, brush teeth, feed Rosie.
Before Lunch: Pick up toys.

I also wrote a list of major things that I need to do this week, like get ready for our MOPS consignment sale and research preschools. Having it all written down and at my fingertips helps me so much.

A friend of mine recently pinned an article that I thought was great. I pretty much agree 100% with everything that this lady talks about. If you have a second, go check it out.

Hope you have a great Monday! I'm turning my computer off now and making breakfast for my kids.

  1. Loved the link. Basic and all true stuff.
    I find a good hour sorting out my week on Sunday evening makes my week go so much more smoothly. We have a big week too and I have to keep reminding myself that there is enough time in every day to do what He wants me to do. :) I'll be praying for you this week in particular.

    1. I couldn't agree more, about sitting down and planning the week out on Sunday evening! Makes such a huge difference. Thank you for your prayers. You are such a blessing to me and I'll be praying for you too!

  2. Writing things out helps so so much! And going to bed early.. which Im horrible at. Good luck with your week :)

Thank you for your comments. I read every single one of them and they always make me smile.
