Promote What You LOVE Sunday

Awhile back, I saw a quote on Pinterest that said "Promote what you love, instead of bashing what you hate". The quote has really stuck with me and even in this little bloggy world of mine, I've wanted to become more intentional about featuring other people and showing off amazing things that have grabbed my attention.

Writing and talking about positive things is effortless and it won't ever come back to bite you or be something that you wish you wouldn't have said. So, with that.....I'm going to try and have Sunday's be my "Promote what you LOVE" day.

Glennon, over at Momastery made me cry a little when I saw this.
Read this, print it and then give yourself (and your kids) a break!
Over at (in)Courage, Lisa-Jo talked about Christian Women and cliques. "Everyone is on the outside of something. But that is only half the story. We are all on the inside of something often without even realizing it." Go check it out, if YOU feel like you're sometimes on the outside of something or if you want to open your eyes to become more inviting to other women.
Last week, we met some friends at the playground. While we were there, I noticed that a mother had brought her kids to play and she also brought with her the most beautiful picnic. She transformed a dirty, bird-pooped picnic table into a tiny bit of paradise with a beautiful table cloth, real dishes, a thermos of coffee, a vase with flowers, a homemade salad and a bottle of salad dressing. Seriously, it was beautiful. She took a picnic at the park to an entire new level and I loved it.

So, even though I don't have a picture of her picnic table, I found a beautiful picture here.
I want to take my kids on fancy picnics. It's not about showing off to the people around us, it's about having fun with my babies and enjoying the summer....fully
Yesterday I went to a book signing for the most adorable children's book. All of the proceeds for this book go to Compassion First, to prevent child trafficking. The lady that illustrated this book, happens to be a friend of mine and she is so talented. Go check it out!
So, what grabbed your attention this week? What are you loving right now?

  1. Angela, I love this idea! I felt the same way and started featuring some bloggers I love on Wednesdays. My last one was a very young girl making her way in the blog world. She was so talented, I just wanted to share her with my readers.

Thank you for your comments. I read every single one of them and they always make me smile.
