31 Days, Day 6: Our Saturday and Paisley Praying

Today was one of the first Saturday's in awhile that my husband hasn't had to work. Most of the time, his schedule is insane and I have good old-fashioned pity parties on a regular basis because I parent solo more than most Moms I know. Yes, I know I have so much to be thankful for but, honestly, sometimes I just want to smack the ladies who complain about their days and then mention that their husband will be home at 5pm. Really, that must be nice to know what time dinner should be ready every night.
Ummmm sorry, I'm feeling a little bit sassy tonight.

Anyway, peace came in the form of a little shopping trip for me and my bump this morning.
I found these colored jeans at Old Navy in Paisley's size and I kinda-sort fell head-over-heels in love with them. It took everything in me to muster up the self control to not buy them. Her Birthday is coming up....Her colored jeans can wait.....At least that's what I told myself.
When I came home, Jeremiah needed to do some work under our sink and of course, Judah wanted to be right at his side. This man is far more patient than I am. If it's not too dangerous, he lets Judah pretty much be involved with anything that he's doing.
As soon as they started doing their work, Judah said in his most serious voice "Daddy, I need to go get us sock gloves to protect our hands!" After putting on his "sock gloves" and his fireman hat, he was ready to go.  Have I mentioned lately how much I'm loving his age? Really, I'm loving it.
The highlight of my day happened when we sat down for dinner this evening. Loudly, Paisley said "Paisley pray!!!". She's never prayed for dinner before, although she often prays before bed but, it was obvious that she wanted to be the one who prays.

As we held hands and closed our eyes, Paisley spoke out loud and clear. Word for word, she sang the "Thank you Father" song that Judah has been learning in preschool. It's a song that they sing in his class before their snack and Judah has been teaching it to us. Obviously that sweet girl has been paying attention.
