Sweet Valentine Books to Read with your Kids

My kids just love visiting the library. We usually end up leaving with a stack of books about fire fighters and trains so, I thought we'd switch things up a bit and intentionally check out some books about Valentine's Day and love. A lot of the books I wanted were already on hold but, we did end up leaving with a few that I think are absolutely darling.
A couple of our favorites:

Kiss Kiss! by Margaret Wild and Bridget Strevens-Marzo is probably my favorite.
In short, this sweet little hippo heads out to play without giving his Mama hippo a kiss goodbye.
As he goes about his day, he notices all the other animals giving their Mom's kisses.
He realizes that he forgot to kiss him Mama and he heads back home.....
Loved it.

I love You! A Bushel & a Peck by Frank Loesser and Rosemary Wells is also very sweet.
This book has a simple and sweet story line, that's easy to follow along. My kids love the silly illustrations and I love how smitten the little chick was with the other chick.

What about you? Have you read any great Valentine's Day books with your kids lately? It's not too late to head to the library and find some good ones!
