Weekend Thankfuls

Cozy corners of our home.
Wooden play food. This play food was a Christmas present that I stashed away from last year, that we just brought out this weekend. It's made by Melissa & Doug and I highly recommend it. The plastic food doesn't even stand a chance against this stuff.
November sunsets. They might be at 5:30pm, but they still take my breath away!
 New adventures.
Red Cups. It's just drip coffee, but I swear it tastes better.
Quiet Saturday afternoons reading on the floor with this girl.
 Good words.
Holding a baby tired from a morning at church. These moments never get old. I realize how quickly she's growing and how fast she's changing. I hold her tight and try to enjoy every second. I don't worry like I did with the other ones about what I should be doing with her. She is just perfect, just as she is. Asleep in my arms or in her crib. With her, I feel relaxed and more confident as a Mom. I feel like I finally get how babies are really meant to be enjoyed.

Thankfuls not pictured:

//Sitting on the floor with Judah, while he pretended that he was the teacher and he ran me through a typical day at preschool.
//Dinner out with my family.
//A movie night with my husband. We watched our first Christmas movie of the year and committed to watching one per week through the Christmas season. What can I say? We like Christmas movies.
//Taco Soup in the crock pot on Sunday night.
//Delivering cookies that we made for our friends painting crew that we made with leftover Halloween candy. We used the Pioneer Woman's Monster Cookie recipe, but we added tons of left over chocolate and peanut butter candies. They were good and I'm so glad we were able to give them away! Hooray for getting some of that candy out of our house!

And, in case you're in need of a really good Christmas song, here's one of my all time favorites.

  3. I couldn't agree more about just enjoying our babies as they are. It was so much easier to bond with my second child than my first because I was so worried about EVERYTHING with her. They are so amazing just the way they are given to us, and they are that little for such a teeny little blip in time. Your little one is beautiful, love those precious cheeks!
