My Word for 2014

Deeper in my walk with Jesus.
Deeper in my understanding of how much I need Him.
Deeper gratitude.
Deeper enjoyment of my children, just the way they are, right where they're at.
Deeper respect for my husband.
Deeper in relationships with girlfriends.
Deeper in discovering who God created me to be.

For me, 2014 is the year to dig deeper into the things that are already in my life. This is my season to not commit to a bunch of new things, but a year to dig deeper into the things that I'm already doing and really try to do those things well.

This is a year to take friendships to a new level. To actively love on people and learn how to really listen. To go past the surface level and go deeper.

I don't want to hesitate, but I want to plunge deeper into what I already have in my life. Deeper can be scary, but sometimes we have to get uncomfortable to reach better places.

I want to take my boots off and fully step in, to show my kids what it looks like to be brave, to trust and go beyond the surface.

What about you, do you have a word for 2014?

  1. Love the photo! I agree deeper is harder but worthwhile.

  2. Good word! I think my word would be present. I am always thinking about what's next and I want to be more present in my bible studies and family.
