Kids Were Here

For the last month or so, I've been photographing random evidence that my kids were there. Weird things, like a Band-Aid that someone placed on a bathroom wall or a nicely designed Batmobile, intentionally parked right between our  pillows.

These are the things that I really didn't understand before I was a Mom. I thought only Moms, who really let it all go,  find dental floss all pulled out and then shoved back in. I never knew that such strange  peices of their creativity and evidence that they were there, would make me smile like these do.

So, last weekend, I discovered that there's already a group of photographers that have been
documenting details of evidence that kids were there. Seeing this, just pushed me over the edge and now I feel brave enough to share all my crazy finds with you here.

Kids Were Here is definitely going to be a new feature on my blog.  If you'd like to join in, I'd love it!

A dandelion, kept in her cup holder.
An Angry Birds band-aid, stuck on a blank bathroom wall.
A nicely designed Batmobile, intentionally left for us right between our pillows.
Someone was messing with the floss.
 Drawings of bugs.
Green beans, left in a napkin.
More trucks parked between our pillows.
They trace themselves and then add swords.

Please tell me your kids have been leaving funny little trails behind themselves lately, too.

  1. Oh, I laughed at this. It's so charming. And what a wonderful idea for a photo project. I love it. My favourite is the chalk outlines with swords. :)

Thank you for your comments. I read every single one of them and they always make me smile.
