This Moment// The Most Beautiful Mess

A Friday ritual. Photos - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

Before I share our moment, I must confess that I've never colored eggs with my kids until today. After this fun morning with cousins, I can't believe I waited this long. These colors make my heart sing. I see lots of egg coloring in our future. It's the most beautiful mess.

He came not only to give us eternal life, but to give us tiny little gifts all day long that would make our hearts feel like they could burst with His goodness. Gifts like color, laughter, music, sunshine and people that love us in our mess. He came to give us life and we were created to see His astonishing beauty everywhere. He created us to be awake to His love, to His forgiveness and to all that He offers us. He didn't just die for us a long time ago, but He came to make us free today. I'm so thankful that He knows me and loves me, even though I've messed up so many times.

Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

  1. thank you for sharing all this joy...He has risen indeed!

  2. Aw, beautiful! Stopping by from Simple Things Sunday. I'm smiling because you are sharing how it's your first time coloring eggs and my post today is about how we color eggs pretty much the same way year after year but enjoy it no less :) Happy Easter!

  3. such a good idea for using muffin pans! We've never dyed eggs... they love popping open the plastic ones! But when they do finally ask, I'll have to remember the muffin pan idea!

Thank you for your comments. I read every single one of them and they always make me smile.
