Hi Chick Chick

The other day I was talking to my sister on the phone and telling her about this crazy little chick of ours that's always jumping straight up in the air like a little jumping bean. Every time I go out there and say "Hi! Chick! Chick!" this she jumps straight up and then bounces back down. Honestly, I don't even know how she does it. She's kind of crazy, but I think I like her.

Here's a short little clip of her fancy jumps. These chicks are young, about 2 weeks old and the brooder light makes everything look red so it's not super easy to see. Also, there's a lid on the brooder, since this particular chick can't stay in.
She's a hopin' and she ain't stopin'.

When we lost Judah's favorite chicken, Woodbark a few weeks ago, we decided to get a few more Australorps and a couple of Barred Rocks, since I've heard good things about them. Judah was so sweet when he told us that if we got 3 more chicks and named them all Woodbark, then we'd probably always have one. We ended up with 5.

Meet The Woodbarks. They're full of personality.....and hops.
