Over On All Mom Does

I was driving down the freeway today, heading to meet up with the All Mom Does team and it suddenly all became kind of funny to me. I feel like I've just buckled into a big amusement park ride and the funny thing is that I'm not scared. I can't stop smiling. It honestly all doesn't even make sense.

I am just your average small town girl, who likes to garden and who talks to her chickens when no one's looking. My closet is a mess and after a week of VBS, my house could use a cleaning. I haven't plucked my eyebrows in who knows how long and I didn't read books to the kids today. I always have my husband brush Eliza's teeth, because she won't open her mouth up for me and tonight the kids had Cheerios for dinner. I'm not a freeway girl either- I hardly ever leave this tiny town, but today we had a little meet up and it was super fun to laugh with these gals in person.

I'm in a constant battle of surrender. The battle of letting go of insecurities and taking the leap of faith to step out of the way and let God put some twists and turns into life. Turns out, life is way more fun when you aren't taking yourself too seriously. Today we drank good coffee and ate yummy gelato at The Spotted Cow.
This is a unique team of women. All different ages, some with teenagers, some with grandkids, some who love to workout and some who are busy working Mamas. I think I'm actually the only one who stays home with her kids and has 3 little ones. I'm also possibly the only one from a small town so, I'm a bit of a country mouse down there with these girls, but I don't mind one bit. I'll go enjoy my coffee, listen to the radio on the way home and then happily change back into my yoga pants.
Tonight I thought I'd just share a few pictures from our meeting, in case you wanted to see who these ladies are. Aren't they cute?
And just in case you're looking for something to do this weekend....I'm over on All Mom Does today talking about National S'more Day (hint---it's THIS Sunday). Honestly, it's just another wonderful reason to have a campfire with the family.
