LifeStraw Go Giveaway!

Whether you are exploring the nearby nature trail or camping in the mountains, having access to clean drinking water is always a priority. Over the last year, some of our best moments have been the adventures we've gone on outside, either with friends or with family.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, our options for exploring outside are endless. I want to see it all, experience all of the sights, sounds, smells and I want to raise  kids who crave being active outdoors.

Today I'm hosting a giveaway for a new product that I was recently  introduced to. The Lifestraw® Go, is an advanced water bottle that uses a technology called hollow fiber to filter 99.999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites. LifeStraw Go isn't just a normal water bottle, it provides filtered water that passes USA EPA drinking water standards.

This is perfect for all of us who love the outdoors. I plan to always keep ours in my backpack so we can always have access to clean, filtered water, no matter where we are.

I’d also love to put one in our emergency preparedness kit. Actually, that is where LifeStraw Go started. In 2005 it was introduced as an emergency response tool to follow natural disasters so people have clean drinking water. Every family should have at least one of these for such cases. They even sell family size versions.

In the USA, we have plenty of clean water – except for maybe while enjoying the great outdoors hiking, running, or activities. This is NOT the case around the world.

780 million people lack access to clean water – that’s more than 2-1/2 times the United States population.

Every minute at least 1 child dies from a water-related illness. That’s 3.4 million people every year.

LifeStraw is on a mission to help these developing communities by providing safe drinking water for schoolsUnder the ’Follow the Liters’ campaign, when a consumer purchases any LifeStraw® water filter, a portion of the funds are used to provide one school child in Africa with safe drinking water for an entire school year.
This easy-to-use filtered water bottle removes 99.9999% of bacteria so you can rest assured that you will have clean drinking water on-the-go. Not only does LifeStraw® Go provide you with clean drinking water, but LifeStraw®’s ‘Follow the Liters’ campaign provides one school child in Africa with safe drinking water for an entire school year with the purchase of any LifeStraw® water filter.
LifeStraw Go:
· LifeStraw® Go converts microbiologically contaminated water into safe drinking water, removing 99.9999%.
