Our Daily Story: A Snowflake Morning

Need some new Christmas music inspiration? Today we're listening to the Kutless album, "This is Christmas". Below is their version of "Oh Holy Night". It's a good one for sure.

I realized the other day that we hadn't cut out snowflakes yet this year, which almost sent me into a tizzy. One of my most vivid Decemeber memories from when I was little is making snowflakes with my Mom and sister and to think that I almost forgot....

So, this morning, with jammies still on, we got right to work. We started with regular paper grabbed from our printer and then quickly traded that in for coffee filters. The coffee filters are the way to go, in my opinion.

While we folded, flattened, folded, flattened and then cut out little chunks of paper, I reminded the kids that all snowflakes are different and that there isn't a right way to do this.

Most of our snowflakes turned out just as "normal" as they come, minus the Batman snowflake that Judah requested. In that moment, I was so thankful for easy to follow Youtube tutorials!

Our Batman snowflake turned out like this. Not as amazing as the one of the video, but I didn't use an x-acto knife either, because we aren't that hard core.
